Dr. Akeda Pearson is an awarded and results-oriented educational leader who has dedicated her life for the betterment of youth, women, men, and families. With over 20 years in the field of Education, Non-Profit Service and Christian Ministry, she has had the pleasure to provide exceptional instructional expertise to a variety of organizations and groups on all levels while fostering environments conducive to learning, operationalizing departments, training/mentoring leaders, cultivating proven community engagement strategies, developing strategic plans for the implementation of data-driven programming as well as mobilizing communities.
Dr. Pearson is committed to ensuring that historically disadvantaged and underrepresented populations have access to quality education and the resources to “thrive” in society. She serves as a number of boards, community organizations and is the founder of several others. Dr. Pearson is the founder and CEO of Premier Training and Professional Development and a Senior Consultant with Longview & Associates. In addition, she established the 1st Cultural Arts Festival in Sumter, South Carolina. Dr. Pearson is an Education Specialist/Consultant, Advocate, Community Activist, Entrepreneur, a Certified Mentor, Prominent Speaker, and Author.
